Recently purchased a "EE" which turned out to be an RTU. It was split so I put it back together..smoothly. However, I placed the forks/clutch on and then slid it back together. I noticed via the access point to grease throw out that the pressure plate is cocked at an angle and did not seat properly. Imagine I will need to split tractor again but question is, should you screw the pressure plate on first then worry about the forks grabbing? make sense... kind of new at this. Hoped to have it up and running to run the baler but guess not.
Thanks for any advice/help
Cory

Yes, bolt the pressure plate to the flywheel first, then put the two halves back together. It's a one-man job.

Cory the EE you refer to is the engine model number and the RTU is the tractor model

According to my book the pressure plate and all should be put on anf then slide it toghether if it was split before you got it may want to look at a book and make sure all of the pieces are there I do not believe if it is all installed properly with all the right pieces it could tilt.
