Going to a tractor pull. If I link the Governor solid to the the throtel linkage....what might break, destroy, ect? Or will I be ok? Is it a good idea or what. I pulled this tractor in the past (2 times in 2 years) and I honestly never had fun with it. Maby because I can't compete with the compition very well. Its still a stock show tractor with a stock engine. So I'm looking at it as if I can place about 4th out of about 10 tractors I might have some fun and maby drag this unit to a few more tractor pulls. Any other Cheap and easy ideas anyone would like to share to compete against tractors that's not Parie Gold in color?

Sounds like you want to basically disconnect the governor. That would mean your throttle would be your only engine speed control. I don't reccommend it, those engines tend to lose rods when allowed to run away.

If your stock governor is not working fix it.

Probably the reason your 445 is not very competitive is that there are few completely stock tractors that regulary attend pulls. At least that is the case down here in NC.

Thanx for the Reply TRK.

You are right that others are not stock. Some around here use dynos. Most don't because they don't wanna mess with them. The 1st time I pulled was a dyno. I was around 3rd from last place. Last time with no dyno I was last.

If I Could find some 302 blocks I'd be having some fun. But most of the time I think I want another tractor to have fun with.
