An Avery V should be an IXB3 which is a 3 gear engine.

The model V used the ZXB engine. I would suggest you call Bill Williams in Baldwyn M 662-728-3747. He helped me come up with a V carburetor.

Also, I have seen Hercules power units that used a magneto ignition version of that engine.

The Avery A & R models used the IX engines. The V used the ZX as was mentioned.

I think the V used the ZXB engine. The Avery R/M oline BF/BG used the IXB.

Where are you located? Is your block a 3 gear or 5 gear engine? Hercules made both. What is the problem with the old block? J.
