I recently drove a MM model M670 tractor 280 miles pulling a trailer loaded with a 1941 UTS.
I went 17 MPH and had a very safe, reletively easy trip. I only had one uptight woman honk at me. Traffic was moderate but patient with me.

The tractor is a propane model, so the big trick was finding fuel to keep going. It took 2 full tanks of propane.

The tractor has no cab and I was caught in an awful rain and wind storm. I was soaked but continued as I felt I couldn't get more wet than I already was.

Both tractors arrived at their new home and were at work in the fields the very next day.

Some will call me crazy, but at $1.48 per gallon of propane, driving the tractor while pulling the other saved me quite a bit of money and it gives me a good story to tell also!

Good haul!

I always get a kick out of guys that will drive back and forth in a field for 18 hours and then think it strange to go down a road that long....

I know some guys that bought a swather at a sale and roaded it close to 400 miles at 14 mph. Took turns driving.

That had to be a fun and interesting trip. I've roaded some equipment before, but not for any long trip like that. You mentioned propane for $1.48 a gallon. Where was this at? It seems to me I've heard tell that it's a lot higher than that. A farmer I used to be acquainted with quit running his pickup on it and switched to diesel for his main tractor because he said the propane was as expensive as the gasoline was.

Driving tractors home now days is cheaper than hauling them.I'll bet it was a fun trip even though you got caught in the rain.In 2004 I drove a G-1000 Vista MM Diesel 300 miles home from Kansas.

Do you have any pictures for us?
