My uncle has a MM "Z" about a 1939 or 1940 with what I think is called a "Powerlift" unit on the rear with the PTO. The tractor hasn"t been run in many years and I think it"s complete except for the starter is gone. He was wondering if this option is very Rare on Moline tractors as you don"t see very many Z"s at Tractor shows with this unit. The tractor also has very nice curved (over the wheel) fenders. What would a fair price be?

Before The days of the hydraulic lifts it was very common for the PTO To be combined with the power lift. This would be prior to 1950 which any runable tractor would be considered fairly rare.

I have '38 ZTU with that power lift and full cultivators. There is also the remains of a '47 U with that lift on it here. Although it was an extra cost item when it was new and that is why most Zs don't have one, I am not sure it would affect the value much because most people just want to drive them.

As far as price, it depends a lot on the location, for instance, It appears that tractors for sale in Michigan bring higher prices than those in Kansas.
