my U has a zenith sediment bowl assembly. years ago the glass jar unthreaded and hit the pavement and shattered. has anyone come up with a better replacement than opaque plastic medicine bottles? i'd like to find something in clear or transparent glass. i cannot believe how tiny it is!
hard to replace it with a more common style because of the small space and small diameter required. unless a bigger assembly would have an offset nipple for clearance

i found the cast part is junk, so i'm gonna replace it with something. one of our parts Us had a full size one like a farmall on it, so i'll try a new one like that, since function is more important than correct part right now. karl f

You can get them from McMaster-Carr for a couple of dollars.

Motec is the place to get that bowl, I've paid $16.00 each which is roughly 5 times what Motec charges.

My Z has the tiny threaded clear glass bowl about one inch in diameter and two inches length. I have a Hayward swimming pool sand filter with a sight glass on it that is an exact replacement. You might check with a swimming pool supply store.

Check part number 17 in this link.

Bowl is threaded? If you need small check small engine supply places for very small sediment bowl. Ask for one for older Briggs and Strattons.

I dropped the sediment bowl for my 445, and the local Napa store had one in stock. I don't know what yours looks like but it is worth a try.
