I have some questions on the shuttle shift on my big-mo 500. Are you supposed to clutch before you shift from forward to reverse or do you just pull the lever? I dont have a operators manual on this tractor. Another question is how much hydralic fluid does it hold? It has the L500 loader with no backhoe. I would like to find a backhoe for it in the future. Thanks wcs

Mine is also loud. My hydralic filter is leaking. It is located along the loader frame that is also the resivior. With hydralic fluid at $40 for 5 gallons I would like to stop all the leaks. Any of you guys replaced the insert style filter with a spin on? or are there any ideas on how to fix the leak. Its leaking around the canister, it has a flat o-ring about 1/4" wide that the canister seals on. Thanks Chris

check the gasket area, there may be some old gasket in the groove. i usually use a dental pick to dig the old gasket out. mine has two filters, one under the seat and one on the side of the rear deck. if you cant get it to stop, just install an add on spin on filter. my 500 is quiet in reverse.

Yes, Use the clutch. It actually shifts gears to make the transmission reverse. Parts are very hard to find.

Mine (Big Mo400) howls like crazy in reverse. How does yours sound?
