Hi, Here is a problem I came across this spring, maybe this could help some of you sometime. Several years ago I had bought a 335, I finally got around to getting it running and I could just not get it to run good. When cold it would start OK and run for a few minutes and then it seemed to run out of gas, run rough, sputter, backfire, ect. I thought it was a carb problem-so I cleaned it, several times-same problem. Then I checked the spark with another plug with a clamp welded to it. I ran the engine and watched the spark, when it started to run rough, the spark became weak or none at all. I checked the points, replaced the coil with a known good one-no difference. I replaced the condenser with a used one from the tool box-wow! it ran nice and smooth! First time I had trouble with a condenser. Usually I replace them when I replace the points.
