My cousin bought a MM Airport Tug a month ago. It is in original condition, rough. He hasn't been able to find out any info on it-how many built, rarity, etc. If any of you have any info for him, let me know. He would greatly appreciate it. He doesn't have a computer, and I told him I would see if anyone on the discussion forum could help. Thanks.

Jen,
There were several different batches of Airport Tugs (Mobilift Tow Tractors/Trucks) made for the military (Army, Navy and Air Force) and also civilian use. I have an Army surplus model and I know of about half a dozen other ones in collector's hands. There's currently one for sale on eBay. They're desireable additions to an MM collectors barn and their value seems to be on the rise. I have a copy of the operators and repair parts manuals for a late Army model which is available from Floyd County Historical Society. Most military units came with 220 engine which can be difficult to find parts for. Send me an email and I'd be glad to help out with any info I may have.

I have a name from quite awhile ago. Steve Korf, Elrosa, MN. Had a phone # of 320-697-5628. Might try him, supposed to know about these animals. Also might try the MM site: www.minneapolis-moline dot com
