M-5 diesel questions

Got a call from a guy to day that wants to sell and M5. He says the tires are fair wide front end and runs ok just still in its work cloths. I know its around 58HP but other then that I don't know a thing about the M5. So what can you guys tell me about the M5. How heavy is it?? Is it worth $1000?? He said the seat isn't there so it would be hard to drive as is.

I saw an M5 on LP sell a few weeks ago for $2900. It had had a real rough paint job put on it, so it looked OK from a distance. Power steering was leaking and not working right. Gauges weren't good. I think $1000 would be a good deal if there aren't too many major mechanical problems. As one other person asked: What condition is the tin in?
