I have several questions about some MM tractors that I own.
I would like to add a hydraulic pump to my ZTU, Are the ZT pumps the same as the ZB models?
Where can I find one?

Can the hyraulics from an early 1950's UTS be made to fit a 1941 Red Nosed UTS? Any tricks I need to know about accomplishing this?

My GB has hyraulics but I cannot use a conventional remote cylinder. The cylinder will only stay in the extended position under load if I keep constant pressure on the lever. Do I need a special MM cylinder for this? Where can I find one?

I would like to add 3 point to my M670 standard. It has dual hydraulics so I could raise and lower with a cylinder dedicated to the 3 point.
Will I have to build my own or are there any after market or factory conversions out there?

Thank you very much for all of your help!

like I said in my first post it depends on what you are trying to accomplish with your hyd system, we use our UTU to move around big modern implements with new style cylinders...if you want original or just one cyl that you want to move around buy an old MM cyl.

What I am trying to accomplish is getting all of my MM tractors as field ready as possible and as usable as possible.

Will the hydraulic pump off of a ZA work on my ZT? What about using my belt pulley to drive an aftermarket pump?

I might be wrong, but I don't think ZTU's came from the factory with hydraulics. If the tractor has a mag, you will need to locate a distributor because the hydraulic pump mounts where the mag is located. I think you will have this issue with the ZTU and the 1941 UTS. Older Moline hydraulics need Moline cylinders. You can buy all the stuff you need at TSC to convert it, or spend $35 to $50 on a Moline cylinder.
Moline had 2 types of hydraulics - one with 3-point and one without. Find a parts tractor (M5, M602, M670) with 3-point.

I just bought a M5 parts tractor. 3 point complete, but right connecting rod is broken at top lift arm knuckle?

Would be interested in selling the 3 point sometime late spring/early summer.

Will have some other "spares" too.

The engine side cover from a ZA with hydraulic pump in it should bolt right up to the side of your ZTU. I am thinking there are no gear tooth issues either. The reservoir under the fuel tank will work and if the ZA parts tractor has good steel lines to the rear they should fit as well. (The only exception I can think of is parts from a 1953 ZAS, as it uses a ZB transmission case and cover.)
You will probably have to make or modify the front gas tank mount, as a ZA tank is wider in front than a ZT tank. (I truly do not know if the ZA reservoir will fit under the ZT tank, but I think it will.) You may have to make the control link from the hand lever to the lever on the reservoir too.

There is probably a way to add factory hydraulics to your early UTS using all MM parts also, but I am not as well acquainted with them.

you should be able to move the hyd with not too much effort. Now for the use of a regular hyd cyl it is really pretty easy if you do not care about originality and want only functionality...take your pressure line from the pump into an add on open center valve that can be purchased at many hyd shops or even TSC. Run the exit side of the valve back into your fill plug of the resivior of the hyd.I set a UTU up this way and have 3 remote valves. I use a T fitting there so I can still add hyd fluid when needed. Now engage your hyd and you have live oc hyd all the time.

On the M670 as others have told you, buy a parts tractor or a different trcator

I've got a ZA that has a window in the crankcase. Hydraulic system is complete, including the correct MM remote cylinder.

Also have a MM cylinder off an old U that might work on your GB.

1. The pumps are the same . Good luck finding a good one
2. Put the two tractor side by side and remove and replace.
3. Your GB needs a Lock out valve or also called a pressure lock, or a MM cylinder that has this feature built in
4. Go buy another tractor with three point on it.
I.E. M5 with outside plumbing or 602 or 670 so you get all the pieces.
