what is the top (safe) RPM you can turn a 220ci. LP U302 motor for stock tractor pulling . I know I"am crazy the 302 is not the best Minnie for pulling , has any one pulled with one? ' comments welcomed'

Usually the max RPM is determined by the rules of the club that you pull... i.e. stock fast idle +10%, +20%, +30% depending upon class... and that is meant to be far below the "safe" limit and even then there is usually a maximum at 3000rpm regardless. If you really want to know its physical strength limits (when it will come apart), maybe someone on the Tractor Pulling Forum could help.. Jim
