Removing A4T oil pan

Hi there, just wondering if anyone has some tips on removing the oil pan from a A4T with the 504 Diesel? I have got the oil pressure regulator out and the filter assembly out and all bolts out of the pan, but I cannot slide the pan out for the oil pump being in the way!Any suggestions? I don't have a repair manual! Thanks for now!

Well, got the oil pan off and getting things apart and checking clearances.....I need new pistons....is there a manufacturer that still supplies them? Can't find any around here...

You need to unbolt the front engine mounts and loosen the mounts on the drop box (these are the rear supports for the engine, transmission, and dropbox assembly) and then use a jack and lift the front of the engine high enough to remove the oil pump.
With the oil pump removed, the pan will slide out.
