I HAVE A PULLING TRACTOR WITH 175PSI COMPRESSION AND I'M NEEDING TO KNOW IF I NEED TO RUN RACING FUEL OR JUST PREMIUM PUMP GAS ALSO COULD SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO CALCULATE COMPRESSION RATIO

my UB was 454cid high compression and would only run on 114 plus gas @ 9.00 a gal. got old . built A 800 GVI on LP and run 1.69 per gal and this tractor is for sale now

Best thing is to have some one tune it on a dyno with the fuel you want to run, IE: if its 93 octane or 105, If you tune it with that, Thats what you should run, You should be able to run 93. If not start mixing 105 with it until there in no run-on or detonation. Compression ratio is total volume, ex. cyl. displacement+head gasket volume+ comb. chamber+ area between piston and top of deck. then divide by the sum of everything except the piston displacement area. You can do this in cubic inch, or cubic cent.
