I need some expert advice. I collect the IH line of tractors. I just bought a 504 diesel and in with the deal came a MM diesel. I know nothing about the Moline line. It is a fence row tractor, wide front end, quick adjust rear rims, 4 cylinder with a 3 point hitch. There is no grill and only one side piece of sheet metal the dash is in place. The only decal I have seen is on the side of the sheet metal and it is "Jet". I brought the 504 in last night and am going back this weekend to get the MM. I guest my question is do I bring it home or stop at the junk yard?
Thanks for any opinions
JG

Think maybe the MM should have come home first, and be in garage. Everyone has those RED tractors, HA! Really, wouldn't most collectors bring about anything home anymore? If YOU didn't want it, plenty fellas on here would buy it from ya. Making money already! Deisel is a little more rare in the smaller MM's.

You found a Jet Star. I would bring it home. Get the serial number down and you can find out what model of the Jet Star you have.

I think you should bring it home. You have just found some prairie gold.

Roger John

Ok you guys win. I'll bring it home. Will look for a SS#. Now where do I go with the SS# to find out what it is? I have only been in Tenn a few years (transfered from Indiana)to my knowledge there are no MM dealers around here so when I,hopefully, find a SS# I will get back on this web and ask more questions.
Thanks for the input
JG

JG,
There are 2 serial number plates on Molines. One on the engine and one on the trans housing. Find the one on the trans housing and we can tell you exactly what you've found. If only the engine tag is present we can tell you the year it was made and speculate which model you've found based on a physical description of details. There are several great MM parts sources that will ship you anything you want. I personally deal with Welter's in MO and I'm in MI. I agree with the other guys. Any "Jet" Moline with a diesel is worth saving.

Brian
