Looking For A MM

HI all,

I am new to this forum. I have a facination with the MM's but do not own one, yet. I am looking for a 1960 or older, medium to large MM to restore. I lean toward a diesel that parts are available for, but a gasser would be OK too. The tractor would be completely torn down and rebuilt with new parts in all the wear areas, seals and gaskets too. I have done a few tractors of other colors, and it is so rewarding to see and drive the finished product. I do some antique tractor pulls with what I have, and would like an MM to show off to the folks who run the club.

I am having a problem finding any in a lower price range (I read the Yuma AZ sale report), around $1000 or less. I do not have a good understanding of the different models MM offered as I haven't studied the history of MM yet.

Can anybody give me a heads up on MM tractor history, where to look for restorable MM's, and if anyone here has one for sell, could you let me take a shot at it? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

What part of the country are you located in ? We are having an auction of my dads collection in June in Indiana. Visit aumannauctions.com go to current auct and down to Schrock. If you want some brute force from late 50's early 60's look into a GVI which is G-6 around 100 HP or the later sim tractor would be your G704 , 705, 706, 707. 60-70 HP M-5, M504, 602,604 or back into 50,s more UB,s were good ole diesels too LOTS OF FUN they are ,all of them...parts can still be obtained, actually I think better than when they were main stay tractors Thanks to Internet
