I haven't seen any prices from the auction last week in Yuma AZ. Was wondering if anyone could share what the TC and MM brought. Thanks Mike

Does anyone have a picture of the 26,000$ UTC? It must be the 12V model to be worth anywhere that kind of money. I would sell my 48 for half that and it runs.

Sounds like everything went pretty high to me from the pictures I saw of what condition everything was in

Here are a few I can recall. I might be off a little on the selling price. Everyone that came to the auction arrived with their pockets full of money:

MM G900 FWA - $28,500
MM UTC - $26,000 (nice paint but engine stuck)
MM UTCs - $5,500 - $5,800 (bone yard tractors)
MM Jetstar Orchard - $6,000 (rough)
TC JTO - $3,750 (no side panels or tire skirts)
MM UBSD - $1,700
MM 445 Utility Diesel (#2 of 18) - $6,000 (missing heads)
MM 445 Utility Gas - $2,000
MM G704 - $9,600
MM 5 Star Diesels - $600 - $700 each
MM M5 Diesel - $900
MM GTA - $1,000

I went looking to snag 3 or 4 but could not bring myself to spend that kind of money. I did get a pretty nice Jet Star 3 brown belly. I pulled the engine down on it over the weekend. It was stuck but freed-up real easy. It looks like I'll need to bore it out to clean up the pitting. It should make a real nice tractor when it is running.

I was pretty blown away by a lot of the prices, espically on the rare stuff. Not just the Molines either. I bought the UBE LP for a reasonable $1300. It has a good wide front, front weights, 3pt and nice sheet metal and tires. Should run with a bit of tinkering. A couple of friends of mine bought a few of the more rare ones to add to their collection. He was able to pay a bit more than I. The good thing about the 704 was that he put a battery in it, checked the oil, added some fuel, and it fired right up and drove on the truck. Overall it was a great time and had a good time meeting people from accross the country.

I was at the sale with Jake and we had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect, the auction was exciting, and we met lots of great people. It was so nice to be immersed in tractors for 4 days straight. I took lots of pictures and I do have pics of the UTC that went for a fortune. It was a 6 volt, SN#0154800294 and I'm not sure why it sold for so much. We had one of the greatest time's of our lives down there. I'm not sure we'll ever see another sale that big again.

Zack,

Did you get all of your purchases moved home? I was back down on Friday to get my plows and about 85 to 90% of the stuff was gone from the museum.

Keith, I wanted to introduce myself to you after Zack said who you were. I guess that was after the bidding war on the 445. I came up to you when we were looking at the 5 star with the turbo. I would love to talk Molines sometime with you. I dont have anything as rare as some of your stuff, but love to learn as much as I can about this old iron.

Jake,

I am sorry I missed the chance to met you. To me, meeting all of the people from around the country and the world was the best part of the auction. Hopefully we will get a chance to cross paths at another event. Look me up if you are at the PGR in Indy. I am planning to be there all 3 days.

I would agree. Meeting people is the best part of the hobby. Its funny how small a world it is too. I was talking to a guy from Colorado who knows a guy that the company i work for sold an excavator. He lives 1500 miles away. Crazy. I would love to go to the PGR convention, but time and finances wont allow it. Take care and keep on hunting

Keith,

We got a few of the tractors back to Oregon on Monday (including the 445 diesel) and the rest should show up late this week. I can't believe how fast they moved the items out of the auction sites. The museum must have looked like a ghost town when you were there. When we were loading tractors at the parts yard on the Monday after the sale there must have been 10 semis waiting to load. Also, on the Monday all of the big gas tractors at the museum in the building with all the pedal tractors were all gone, including the Aultman Taylor. They must have loaded out a bunch of trucks at the museum on the Sunday. I couldn't believe it, that's a lot of iron to move.

Zack,

They said they loaded at the museum until mid-night on Sunday. Several of the big gas tractors were still sitting outside but it was a totaly different place. I am so glad I made several trips down to see the place while it was still open as a museum. It will be a long time before anyone puts a place like that together again.

Plows? Did you say plows? I seem to have a thing for old plows. I think I own more plows than I have tractors to pull them, and I am always looking for more. I want to get some of the biiger pull types 4 and 5 bottom plows as I don't have any of those yet.

Maybe I'll bring a trailer load of plows to Rochester in June. What do you think Keith?

Joe

P.S. I heard a rumor that there might be a YT coming to Indiana in June?!??!!!

You did read about plows. I had to buy a lot of 5 plows to get the MM two bottom pipe plow I wanted. It will look nice hanging on the back of my boy's 335. It has never been in the ground and is mising the coulters. I am guessing it was never completely assembled at the dealership.

I talked to Dave Stangle a few nights back and let him know it was my intension to grant his wish. Actually, I have been planning to bring the YT to his show since Dover last year. It is one of his favorites. My dad left it at his place back in the 80's and Dave took it to a couple of local shows.

Do bring plows to the show. The more vairety the better. After awhile it is nice to have something to look at other than tractors.

Was that the only MM plowin the lot? I hate having to buy a bunch of stuff to get the one thing I want, but it does add stock to the trading pile for later.

The plows might jus tbe a good idea. I need to get them all out of the shed anyway to put gravel in there, so that just might be the impetus I need to get it done.

Are you planning to bring anything else? They had 7 UDLX's in Kansas. I wonder how many NTX's we could get together????? ??

Getting NTX's together might be as difficult or possibly more difficult than UDLXs. I think there are quite a few more UDLXs known to exist than NTXs.

Mr Wilson,

Great to hear from you. I was thinking of you just the other day. The Cottonwood show is this weekend and I am planning to take the NTX (MM Jeep) up there. I wish you could be there and see it in person. Send me your e-mail and I will send you some pictures.

The NTX did a cross country trip back in 2005. My son and I took it to PA for a tractor show put on by the club my dad helped to get started. My mother ws very excited we brought it and my boy and I had the best time.

Hope to hear back from you soon.
