My little 2N isn't quite big enough. I'm going to look at a 1958 MM with loader. The guy says it is a 6cy diesel with est. 80-90hp. He also said it is 12-14,000 lbs...does this guy know what he is talking about. He said the FEL is strong but slow. He says the engine is fresh and starts up every time. What would a person have to pay for one of these if it is in good condition? Says it is a power house.Kat

1958 was last year for GB - if its a 6 cyl it would be diesel - gas or LP were 4 cyl. All weighted up with a loader (not common on GB) you could get to 12000+ pounds - other option would be an early G-VI.

G-VI makes it 1959-62, 162 makes it 425 ci diesel. which should be a good pulling tractor about 80HP as I recall, but a little dated if you are going to use it daily and a little too young for most tractor pulls.
16200001-00805 were 1059
16200806-01890 were 1960
16201891-02960 were 1961
16202961-03235 were 1962
Not sure that answers how much part of question, but a good running diesel in decent shape tin and tire wise - I would say $2000-2500 unless you really like the loader.

Thank you MMed..pretty much the conclusion I came to. If I had a lot of level ground around and extra tractor boneyard space,it might be kind of fun for the right price..

I don't think brakes need be a big problem - if its like my GB and all pieces are there, getting 4 discs out and relined is not a big deal. Pull covers and you have the outer disc, disconnect actuator and remove for access to inner disc. Any clutch lining place can do linings. If you need new springs or actuator parts try Welters 417 498-6496.

Kathy, what model is it? If it is really a 58'year with a 6 cyl. it probably has a hand clutch just so you're aware. Give us a call at 920 295 3278 about loader tractors, either we or some of our customers have tractors w/loaders for sale. Dale

you were totally correct about the hand clutch. Not too bad a tractor but probably bigger than I need. He said the brakes aren't the best and I live on a slope. Decent brakes would be nice even though you have gears. I'll give you a call..what days and hours do you take calls?

It sounds like a GVI or G6 to me. I have seen them go for about $1000 to $1500.
