I saw a add for a stuttgart on another web sight.It stated 1 of only 3 made. That's what made me ask if only 3 where built.

My wife and I were down there several years ago and stopped and talked to a guy who had worked for Don Oliver in the shop. What I remember from him is that you would bring in two tractors of the same model, and they would make you a 4WD. I think that they all had 605 power units. Some were GTB, GB, and U rearends. He didn't give any #'s, but I got the impression that they made several.

Clint, That tractor was sold in Butler, MO a few years ago. There isn't one there now. There were more than 3 made, don't know the #, but with a little research, might come up with an estimate. They were an awesome trctor, way ahead of their time, thanks to Don Oliver. He was the designer and builder of them, MM bought/used his designs to build the A4Ts. He improved his design as every 1 was built. Basically a G engine and 2 transmissions/rearends and some stuff. John

I live in so. mi. about 50 miles away a dealer has one with a cummins engine in it. He said he bought it at an auction last spring(06) from the nephew of the original owner. He said the farmer wanted 3 built and all of them had cummins engines in them. As far as he knew these were the only ones made with a different brand engine. So that might be the "only 3 made" statement. I did go see it mighty impressive for a 50's tractor, but I thought he was asking to much for my wallett,17,500. Hope this helps, Frank P

There is one that is always at the homestead IA show on Fathers day weekend from what I understand about them they were put together in a Shop in STuttgart AK USing a G moline Engine and Rearend They are definatily adifferent Machine.
