Would someone be so kind as to tell me what M-S carburator MODEL NUMBER would be correct for a 1948 MM RTU? Also, what rebuild kit from AGCO, CarQuest, NAPA, etc. would be correct for it?

Thank you very much.

JKC

Agree with the numbers below but also add the RT 1939-40 used a TSX-30 Marvel Schebler. Current Zenith/Marvel Schebler kit K7505 will fit TSX-30,36,231,& 497 from that list plus fits many others. So if you have one of those MS carbs it should not be hard to match up with a kit but there were other kits for other MS carbs too. K7505 kit fits most of them but not all. Zenith replacement carburetor 12522 replaces MS TSX-30,36, & 231. Zenith carb 14544 replaces the TSX-497.

From 1941-48 used TSX36, from 1949-52 TSX231, 1953 & up TSX497. Hope this helps. Brent

Mine has a TSX 36 on it and I bought a kit from my local NAPA store not too long ago fairly cheap

Please note that the above post was lost in the main board list but does appear here. Sorry for the inconvenience. It was due to a crash.
