I just spent $150+ to fix someone elses' messing!

Jetstar brakes DO NOT need grease on the balls in the Actuator and DO NOT need grease on the splines in the disks so they will "work free". If you work on these, just put the disks and actuator assembly back in there dry and they will work fine without binding up.

I bought this tractor spring a year ago and the tractor had almost new seals on the shaft so the grease must have been installed when the brakes were put back together.

Sorry. I just had to vent. It did not need to happen.

The 670 or for that matter any of the disc brake tractors are the same way, I try to polish those splines real good and clean then that dry graphite won't attract any other dust and bind them up.
