zb/206 engine oil pump drive bushings

I would like to know if anybody has had to replace these bushing in their engine.Mine are not inline and would need to be aligned honed .This would take a special tool and would like to know somebody who could do this.

Most times I don't replace those. I was sure hoping you would get a post by someone else by now. The best I can tell you is call around to your local machine shops and see if anyone has a reamer like you need. You may have to check with machine shops that do industrial rather than automotive machining. Probably not cheap, either.

I would think if you got your bushings from one of the MM parts suppliers or AGCO they should be correct finished size.

If all else fails: I read once that a passable reamer could be made of a hardened rod of the correct diameter that had a 45 degree bevel across 2/3 of one end. I guess the 45 bevel would scrape off metal until the shaft could pass through. I never tried it.

I purchased the correct bushings and installed them.These bushing shrink in a press fit hole.I tried to ream each bushing until the shaft would go through.Then I tried to go through both when I found out they were not in line.I guess these bushings have lasted for 50 years.
