I am trying to determine/remember the model of a Minneapolis Moline yard tractor that I owned in the late 1960's. I believe it was a 65 or 66 model. It was built by Jacobsen and had either a 7 or 8 HP engine, 3 speed gear drive, and a two blade mower deck, probably 36 or 38 inches. Can anyone tell me what model it would have been and does anyone know of a picture of one posted on the internet? Thanks in advance.

If you look at the minneapolismolinecollectors.org site there is a photo of one that our Siouxland Collectors Club has restored and will raffle off at the Summer Show in Madison SD. After painting the hood, we were informed that there should be some white on the hood, so the hood has been repainted. If you would like more pics, let me know.
Thanks Mike

That one looks just like mine, except, as best I remember (40 years ago) mine had a white hood.

Tonight I dug out our old family picture album. In it are two pictures taken in the summer of 1967 of our daughter on the M-M tractor. On mine, the top of the hood is yellow, the sides of the hood, the grill insert, the wheels, the seat, and the rubber handle on the lift lever, were white. Everything else, including the mower deck, was yellow.

Harold,
If it was 1965 or 66 and was yellow in color then it was probably a model 108 Town and Country with an 8hp Kohler engine. The 2 blade deck was steel and 36" cut. Earlier models were all brown in color and came with a 7hp Kohler engine. These early models were called MoCrafts. Both models were built by Jacobsen for Moline. There was also a late model 107 built by Jacobsen but was a completely different style of tractor with a vertical crankshaft engine of 7hp.

Mine must have been a 108 T & C because it was yellow and had the horizontal shaft Kohler. Thanks for the information.
