What is the size of original headlamps on a 445. Were they the 7" flat or were they smaller. Also does anyone know where to get a grill emblem for a 445.

according to ZA repair catalogs the 7" flat headlights were superceded by 5 3/4" domed lights late in the 1950 model year

Also to add to the others the WD45 and WD Allis Chalmers tractor are very very close to the orignals as well. There is only a slight difference in the two. The 445 has more of a point on the back of the light housing where as the Allis one is more blunt. I run them on my 5 stars.

Does anyone know if Dan Shima still sells the 445 grille medallions?

Kelvin, Dan doesn"t sell those. He sells the early U red face and Z grill badges. It is Les Wenzel sells the heavy poured metal 445, 335 5 star medallions.

The headlights on the 445 are the smaller sealed beam lights. Not quite the same size as the ones they have now days. I think they were about 5". The shell was basically the same as the ones used on the JD's but had the pipe on them instead of just a bolt. The glass was curved not flat.

There is an ad in Prairie Gold magazine for someone making repros now. They fit several models, pretty hard to find NOS or used that aren't battered up. Maybe check at MM official site for address of seller? Think they were around $30, but don't quote me on that!
