Just bought a 1960 M5 with a front loader. I would like any info on this model. I have ordered a manual. This is my first MM and they are scarce in southern Missouri. I have a Ford 9N and had several other makes but this is new to me. Thank"s for any advice Bill

Bill, If you will take a little road trip to Welters Farm Supply at Verona,MO you will probably change your mind on MM's being scarce in southern Missouri. If you need any parts or info for your M-5 then Welters is the place to go.

We used to own a 1962 M-5 MM LP burner and the Welters bought it new before they became MM dealers. They traded it on a new M-670 at the MM dealer where I used to work part time.

A Bill Cary used to work where I do in Vernon County,MO.

Bill,
Congratulations on your new purchase. The M5 is an updated version of the 5-Star. It came out in gas, diesel, and LP versions. 336c.i. engine producing around 60hp. There are 2 cylinders per block. Many of the parts are interchangable. Send me an email if you would like more specific information.

Nick
