Had a working mag and disassembled to clean and set points. Now I don't have any spark at cap.I timed the metal mag gear with the beveled tooth lined up with the C mark on the fibre gear on the cap. I have spark at the coil but nothing coming out of cap.Any ideas?

I guess you put the rotor button back in. I am also guessing you put the copper rod back in that contacts the tab on the coil.

I am thinking they had two marks on the fiber gear. You use one for Clockwise and the other for counter clockwise rotation.

You didn't say what model it was, but I think Rs and Zs are counter clockwise rotation.

I have also seen the shaft with the fiber gear seize up in the cap and the gear spin on the shaft. (It drove me nuts-It would pop occasionally but not start.)

These are just some thoughts. Hope it helps.
