A close friend has been working on his MM UDLX for about four years. He's close to starting it up. I have his carb and would like to find a carb re-build kit for it, and if possible a better float. The carburetor is a Schebler TTX 17. Do any of you guys know where I could find these parts? If so, please E-mail me, any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help guys.
However, still no float. Getting to talk with lots of good knowlegable people about this carburetor and "rare" tractor. When my friend sent the carb. insured, I knew it was a "hard-to-find" item. I had no idea, I'm just a carb rebuilder. I now know that a float from a Schebler TTX 18 will fit the 17 carb. I am willing to buy good used float. Please keep the info coming, I really need a float.
Thank you.

Several years ago a friend who is an excellent airline mechanic demonstrated to me the skill to completely reman a float. He separated it at the seam into two halves, soldered many pinholes, built two new stems and soldered them on. He probably used two million dollars of equiqment to test and calibrate it during his lunch hour at the jetbase but I can only speculate. If you know of such a person your old float can be repaired. Never throw anything away or give up on it.There are people out there who can fix it. Good luck.
