MM U 4 3/8 pistons?

Hey guys,

I'm not to familiar with MM. My dad recently tore down his UTS and found he has 4 3/8 bore pistons. If we are correct 4 1/4 bore is stock on a U. Where can he get new 4 3/8 or possibly .030 over 4 3/8 bore pistons and rings? Was this some sort of aftermarket power pack option or something offered by MM years ago?

M&W offered .125 over size pistons for the 4&1/4 bore. It was highly sucessful. MM offered .030,,.063, and .094 oversizees. I think the tractor pullers go higher than .125. I wouldn't reccommend that for field use however.

I believe both M-M and M&W made .125 over pistons. Not familar if either made .030 over for these pistons.Thats a lot of metal coming out of those blocks,but there is a lot of meat there.
