Converting back to gas from propane

I saw a one of the more modern molines (by this I mean Jetstar 3 looking, or a 3 digit series, white/black stripe) at the local yard tractor store. They must've taken it in on trade. I didn't get a chance to stop and see the model number. It's propane powered and has the shell of a cab on it.

I'd be interested, but never had a propane tractor. How do you fuel? It wouldn't be convienent to have the propane delivered everytime. To swap back to gas, besides the carb, a fuel tank and a hood/side panels what else would you need?

All propane dealers here kind of frown on driving out to just fill a tractor tank and won't do that. I know some people haul or drive their tractor to LP dealer if close to fill it. You would need a LP storage tank on your site and could also run other house or shop utilites off it and it would need to be a tank with the right valve and wet line tube setup so you can fill off of it. Local LP dealer can set you up with filler and return hoses and or a pump also if wanted. All the ways they do it and regulations vary from state to state some on LP dealers but many want you to use their tank and they supply it as long as you buy fuel from them. Most places you can own your own tank also but small LP nurse tanks on trailer are illegal for you to tow on highways now so dealer would still have to fill it at your place only.

You should be able to use the propane tank for gasoline by having it steamed out and having a hole cut or drilled in top and a gas tank type filler welded or brazed on. Easier than finding a gas tank. lol

I've got a M670/LP, GTB/LP, UTS/LP, Brown UNI/LP, would be interested in the tank, regulator, and carb. I think all you need is the tank, carb, and sheetmetal for the conversion, right now, I haul mine to get them filled, but in the future I'll have a big tank.
