Ub diesel water pump help!!

Hello All and thanks for previous help.I need advise again. I need to remove the water pump,I have removed all hoses and removed the front cover to expose impeller.Next I removed 4 fine thread nuts off studs to timing gearcase.now the pump is "loose" on the fine thread studs but refuses to come off! Have I forgotten something or is it just stubborn.any reply is sincerly appreciated , thanks

That fifth bolt , is it a stud fine thread ? or just a bolt hard to find?
I looked and looked and just cannot see good enough to find a fifth bolt.Could the water pump shaft splines be tight enough to not allow it to slide off?the impeller shaft is free, no matter what I do,

Eric,
Don't try to pry the pump off you'll break something!

There is one 3/8 x 5" bolt that goes through the front engine casting. The bolt head is used to hold the injection pump drive housing to the front engine casting. The bolt points forward. There is a blind coarse thread hole in the water pump casting that you can not see. You must remove this long bolt from the injection pump drive extension housing in order to remove the water pump. I believe this bolt is one of the lower outboard bolts holding the injection pump drive housing in place.

The UB Diesel water pump drive shaft is not splined. It has 2 flats on the shaft that engages a slotted hole in the injection pump drive gear.

Email me if you need more help finding this bolt. I just rebuilt my UBED pump last week and am in the process of fully restoring the tractor.

Thank you very much for the good advise ,I had no problem removing it after removing that long bolt.I recently purchased this tractor and it had been sitting for a long long time.It had a small oil leak at water pump /gearcase gasket and it was that last bolt that was already "loose" that was the cause of the leak.
I have some other questions but I will pose them in another thread.
