Removed the Meade cab from the G950 diesel, and although it was sand blasted and painted, I think it will remain no-cab for awhile. Located and bought a step assembly, but still need a 10A30652 hand rail. Does anyone have one they are willing to sell? If not, would anyone please give me the rod/tube diameter so I could fabricate one. Would also need the distance from the two mounting flange surfaces to the outside or inside where you grab the handle, so I could determine how much off-set the mounting flanges should have. Lastly what is what color, or is it chromed? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hope you have better luck than I did trying to find a hand rail for a 756 Farmall. I finally had to make one out of the barstock of an old silo door. It was one of those items IHC doesn't wish to sell. I could get one from a dealer but list price was over $200.

I asked at a few salvage yards with no success. Initially went to the AgCo dealer, but no luck. The parts book shows where it is located, so the position and length is somewhat known. It looks like you could make one out of a length of pipe by offsetting and flatting each end. This would require a litle torch work. A 5/16 bolt mounting hole needs to be drilled in these modified ends. I think it should be chromed, but paint would suffice for now. Still would like to know the clearance between the handle and the fuel tank/instrument cowling, also the pipe diameter which is probably close to 1/2 inch. May have to wait until this summer and look at a newer MM at a show. The offset and pipe diameter should be similar to the G1000 and other models of that later vintage. Someone advertised that they were making handrails for MM's several years ago, but they were not making one for the G950. Perhaps the best route would be to find the pipe diameter they were using and the offset.

James,
I think the hand rail on my G950 diesel is painted black. The earlier M670 and G1000 were a chormed "V" shaped bar. The G950 is a simple horizontal rail that mounts to the left side of the fuel tank cover sheetmetal. I haven't been out in the barn to verify but maybe this weekend.

Yesterday when I was looking at a MM book by C. Peterson Jr. and R. Beemer, I noticed a G950 on page 110 that gave a not totally clear view of the handrail. It looked like it could have been black, but the G950 was painted in the red, white and blue paint scheme. What I didn't know and learned from that picture, was that the bar extended entirely across the front cowling using the 1st and 4th bolt holes rather than attaching at the 1st and 3rd bolt holes. Any help you could give me with the length/offfset from the cowling face (so that I have the proper hand grip clearance, and the pipe diameter would be greatly appreciated. Also if it is black that is great news! I was concerned it was stainless or chromed.

3/4 dia, 1 1/2 between hand rail and hood, 27 1/2 from hole to hole, painted black.
