Does anyone have a number for a starter on a 670 super?? Local Car Quest has a hell of a time finding the right numbers and parts for Minnie stuff
Are NAPA starters any better than what we get from Car Quest or do they all get the parts from the same places??? Seems like we have a lot of trouble with Quest electrical parts. thanks for a great forum and Merry Christmas to all.

I agree with j+m, I use a local rebuilder even for my car and truck, he also supports our local club. Good for everyone.

If your going to get a different starter i would suggest putting one on off a G1000. Assuming your 670 is a diesel the G1000 diesel starter will bolt right on except you have to grind just a little off the front cover to get it in the hole. That starter is a lot stronger and you will never have trouble again. I got mine from the junkyard for the same price as they wanted for a 670 because the 670's are hard to come by. If yours is a gas this may not work, i don't know anything about mm gas engines we have all diesels. This starter on the G1000 also works in the 585 engines too. just my 2 cents good luck whatever you decide.

we had alot of problems with electrical parts from napa and car quest both. i find it about the same price to take them to a smaller local repair shop and have them rebuilt by someone who will back it up if there is a problem.
