Look for information on MM engin stationary unit. It's all orignal, exc. muffler and one side panel.Model 206 4A serial # 210543.It has hydralic lifter and a belt drive on the back.we need any help. thank

Ken,
You've got a 1945 206 power unit. This power unit with the hydraulic actuated valves was commonly used in the Moline Jeep (NTX I believe) during WWII. I have the same engine (serial # 210558). It was used in Northern Michigan on a sawmill for years. It was stuck when I got it and it currently in the shop awaiting a rebuild. The bearings in my engine were standard MM sizes instead of military spec. These engines seem to be sort of rare but there are several in existence. What else would you like to know?

The engin we have has ID tag with Model 206 4A with 3 5/8 x 5 serial 210543 it has a starter with a orignal panel with M M water/temp, oil, amp has a cluch with handle for in and out. Also has crank. We do appreciate all of your help.It has cause quite a stire at the coffee shop,as what it is and what it was used for.Some of the guy think it was on a thrishing machine.We injoy all the help from you fellow.We do appreciate it very much. I also have one of those engines. Mine was last used on a hammermill. Pretty much as you describe with the belt pulley, starter, and guages. Mine also has the MM fuel tank on it and the hood and side panels were still with it (But not on it) when I got it.
As far as I know, they could be ordered without hood, side panels, fuel tank, and even without radiator if the customer preferred.

Except for the valve train, those engines share a lot of parts with the regular 206B,206C,206D,206 G engines used in the ZA and ZB tractors and other applications.

The 210 prefix was used on 220-4A engines. The range runs from 1961-1965, 21000001 to 21000500. Take another look at the serial; tag, if it's a 206, doesn't match the #s. Let us know what you have.
