What is an M602 worth?

Saturday at noon, Mountain time

I am going to attend an auction on Monday. They have an M602 listed on it, I would say it is in fair to good condition. Almost new 18.4- 34's on rear, poweradjust rims, wide front - tires fair, dual hydraulics, on propane. Starts right up. Paint is shot, good seat, most instruments work. What would something like that be worth?

My Dad was a Moline dealer from about 1955 to 1970 - my goal is to collect and restore all the tractors he sold during that era. (He later let my brother take it over, it became White, he picked up Versatile, dropped White, picked up IH, dropped Versatile, IH became Case-IH - which he still has...cannot help but still like the "yellow", though)

Any and all help would be much appreciated.

The 602 brought 2700 which maybe was okay, but I think it had a cracked head (or two) because he was running diesel in the radiator istead of antifreeeze.

Just got my Rust Book from Successful Farming it shows auction prices of older tractors there is a 602 propane that was listed in fair condition and sold for $2400 in nebraska last January. A diesel model in fair condition sold for 1875 in Indiana, those were the only two 602's listed. We run several molines, all diesel except for an M5 gas, good tractors just use them around the yard now that they are older. Don't know where you are from but back in the 1980's dad got his first vista g1000 from a dealer in south dakota that came from A and P motors out of Dutton, Montana, just seen you listed mountain time thought maybe you are familiar with that dealership, anyway good luck on your purchase and let us know what it brings if you get the chance.

I am located in Haxtun, Colorado. My Dad did some cross-business with Foland up in Sidney Nebraska ( about 60 miles from here).
I am hoping to pick this tractor up for less than 2,000 - if it goes for more than that, they can keep it.
By the way, I think the Ampli-Torc did work in it, it had a good "snap" anyway.

Sorry, can"t give you an answer to your question, but I was pleased to hear that, after your brother went through all those other colors, you"re still sweet on the Prairie Gold! I was raised on JD green, myself, but I did own a few red ones(M,650,1066)and 1 yellow(M670). They were all like pets to me, each with their own personality. Good luck!

If you can try to check the Torque Amplifier, see if it works. This summer I bought a M602E-LP used 15.5-38 rubber non-power adj, 3-pt & hydraulics, at an auction here in Texas for $1000 and resold it immeadiately to a friend for the same amount. I wouldn't have sold it to anybody else that cheap. Bryce
