I purchased a UTU this past summer. I bought it for a really cheap price due to the engine being all apart. Currently I am rebuilding and putting the engine back together but came across a little snag - which orientation do the rods fit in the engine?

Does the casting MM# go toward the front or rear of the engine?

Can somebody tell me for CERTIAN before I stick this engine back together?

Thanks
Kenny

I don't know about the MM casting on the rods. But I can tell you for sure without a doubt that the stamped numbers on the rod I.E.#1 #2 and so on faces to the cam side of the engine or the left side of the block. The left side is the oil canister side. Good luck with it!
