UBE = factory wide front, UB (also called UBU) = narrow front, UBN = single front. Unless its a diesel or a high crop, only slightly more desirable than narrow front according to most books.

There are a lot more desirable U types out there including the Single Fronts, all the diesels, the UB Specials, the UTS Specials, and the Industrials.

MM Buyers Guide Book says lowest of 29 separate U types listed is 3 stars and UBE is 3 1/2 stars out of 5. And thats assuming it has 059 series serial number - thats important since front ends were interchangeable, but only 059 were factory wide front.

UBU 5077 made; UBE 1421 made; UBN 241 made; UBE Diesel 362 made - UB 1953-55 before they were replaced by UB Specials.
