I have a 1937 JT and wich to restore it. It had been in the neighborhood since new and has always been prairie gold. I know I could paint it any way I'd like but, what would be the most correct? The tractor has spent all it's working life gold and was most likely repainted at the dealer to help sell it. Did Minn-Moline ever paint the JT yellow at the factory? What are your opinions.

My '37 JTU is the 75th from the last, it came to me Prairie Gold, in '88, I painted it grey, having that to do over, I'd paint it P/G. Mine has the RE engine, looks like factory welds on the fixtures. Good luck making the decision. John

It seems to be the general opinion that all TCs came out of the factory painted grey. As you stated, some were likely repainted at the dealer and possibly at the factory to help sell them once the gold MMs were introduced.

Painting it either way would be great.

If its been gold for nearly all its life- 60+ years, go for gold.
