I was at a friends today helping him work on his Jet Star 3. The engine was damaged at some point due to lack of lubrication. We pulled the pistons and they have a part no. of 10A10540. We can't see anyother numbers so we are assuming that these are standard bore pistons, are we correct?

My 445 Repair Manual shows 10B10540 as the part number for a standard bore aluminum piston for the 206-H-4 engine. I will guess the "A" is the casting number and the "B" is the part number. 10B10541 is .020 o/s and 10B10542 is .040 o/s. HTH
