I just ran across a GTB 0164900541. This appears to be a '49 model. It looks to be an industrial type, LP & clamp on front rims. The rears have been changed. The LP tank mounts crossways to the tractor. The guy tried to plow with it, but said it ran too fast. Anybody shed some light on this thing? How many were produced? Thanks!

My 49 GTB/LP has clamp on front rims, standard or industrial axle, but has the LP tank mounted the conventional way. Has 18.4x34 rears with clamp on rims.

What do you mean, runs too fast, ground speed or engine. 1st.gear is about 2.5-2.7mph. However the industrial version is probably geared different. Keep us posted.

The way I understood him, it was the ground speed that was too fast. I didn't quit understand it either, so I was wondering if the industrial had a tranny that was geared higher.
