4232 heads will fit and work on your U. I am pretty sure that they were orginally an LP head, but that doesn't matter these days with the higher octane gas that we have vs the gas in the 50s & 60s. They are square port heads and I would say that they would work with your manifold.
A lot of puller have these heads as they flow more than the round port heads. If you want to trade, I have a set of 4210 or 4209s that I would trade for your 4232s, they would help my puller U out and on a stock U I don't think you would see the benefits of the 4232s.

SINCE THE 4232 HEADS ARE SQUARE PORT HEADS. MY MANIFOLD IS A ROUND PORT TYPE. I AM GOING TO BUILD A PULLER OUT OF MY U BUT WAS WANDERING IF I MAY HAVE TO GO TO A DIFFERENT MANIFOLD TO USE THESE HEADS. AS I WILL BE RUNNING 110 OCTANE FUEL.

If you are making a puller, then i would keep your 4232 heads. even if you are not building a big cubic inch motor today, someday chances are you will want to upgrade and your 4232 will give you the heads to go bigger. if you are building the cubes now, the 4232 heads (from everything that i have been told) are excellent heads for a puller. I got 4210s on mine and like them, just if i ever find a set of 32s (and have the cash to spend at the time) I will upgrade.
If you want to know what 32s are worth, I see one advertised on the MM-website, valves and all for $450, others without valves from $350 to $400.
Most people try and use the Y-intake from a M670 (and I think it was on a lot of 336 irrigation engines) for their pullers. That is what I have. I don't know who makes another intake manifold.

Your 4232 heads are worth alot more than those 4210/09 . There is a man that makes a square port manifold that matches your heads. but the Y type is what they used from the factory on the 4 cyl.
