1959 MM 335 industrial steering trouple's???

I was working my machine all day,and the last thing I had to do is park a junker where I was digging,and when I picked up the front of the truck I was moving I had no PS,and then after I let down I did,and then the next day I had to do more digging,and now the machine will only turn to the left,and will not go right.If you shut the machine off you can turn freely left or right with the bucket down hold front wheel's off the ground.Any help would be great.It a 1959 335 Industrial Series MM.

It sounds like your PS spool valve is no longer properly centered. On the side of your tractor, there is a valve body where the sheering shaft goes under the radiator. That valve body has a spool that directs the pressurized oil to the proper sid of the power steering piston. It sounds like the spool valve is stuck in the turn left position and not letting you turn to the right. There is also an activating lever that slides the spool valve that might be worn and causing the problem.

There is an adjustment procedure to center the spool valve but I am certain I can not describe it properly without a manual. If you do not have a manual, let me know and I will try and scan the pages and e-mail them to you.

I have a manual.I took that peice off,and there is 4 port's with o-ring's in there from what I could see.If I fight the wheel with all my might I can slowley turn right?

You are looking at the right place. The spool valve is in the cylindical housing that the block you pulled off was bolted to. there is a cove on each end of the spool valve. The front cover needs to be remove to center the valve.

The spool valve housing mounts with 4 bolts to the the sheering shaft housing. There is a little bit of front to back ajustment in those mounting holes. Sometimes all it takes is loosening the 4 mounting bolts and shifting the spool valve housing.

If yopu have the repair manual, it will describe all (most) of this.

This is my 335 Industrial/with a full front loader/backhoe that used to be a NYS DOT machine,and You say sometime's you can get lucky just moving the valve plate.This is the part that is behind where I had the plate with 4 o-ring's,and hole's,and where the line's go in.forgive my ignorance ive never had a problem with this old machine,and it's a learn as you go thing for me.It has steering when the engine is not running,and as soon as I start her it goes left (not like it use to either,like fluid traped or air in system)and you have to fight to turn it right.Hope this is a easy fix,finding the rear drive axel was fun(LOL)!But i did find one.thank You for the help on this.

You are correct. The part I am talking about is the part that was behind the body you removed. It should be basically cylindical and mounts with 4 bolts.
