I took the sickel out of my mower the other day and I noticed that the brass bushing that fits inside the head of the sickel has a 5/8 hole thru it that is drilled at a angle. Is this correct or has someone tried to make one and got the hole off? I am going to make a new one but would like to have some imput first. Also did the fellow who was looking for a re-placement sickel find one? I went to Tractor supply and they ordered me a New Idea 7' I will have to wait til it comes in to see if I can make it work. Any help wil be great Thanks Chris

If your New Idea sickle works, or can be made to work, Please let me know! The Part number would help, too.

JK2 on the MM website said he thought a certain New Idea sickle would fit.

As far as the hole goes, I had the sickle out of this mower once and I didn't notice the hole being on angle. And with all the drive linkage Parallel and perpendicular to the sickle, I don't think that hole is supposed to be angled.
