I am thinking about putting a 403 crank in my 283. What do I have to use for rods, and pistons. I know that the crank will fit in the crankcase. Any info would really be appriciated.

Thanks

Does offset grinding go through the hard surface of the crank? Or do they have to re harden it.
Were can you get a crank offset ground. I live in north central Nebraska.

If you are staying with stock blocks, use U rods and offset grind the crank to fit the U rod journal size (smaller). Not sure if they make an overbore piston for this, but most use the larger M5 blocks for which a piston is available from Welters Farm Supply that compensates for the increased stroke.
