Anyone know what the Chicago Rawhide part number is for the seal behind the breaks on a MM Jet Star? It would be nice to have the seal in-hand when I tear it apart this weekend.

Thanks!

Got it apart and there were two different seals installed. Both with different CR numbers than the one you posted. One of them, the local seal shop did't even recognize as a CR number. It looks like there have been plenty of number changes over the years.

With any luck, I'll have seals in a couple of days.

Well I am so terribably sorry! Maybe you need to buy a repair manual for it then.

Whoa there! Sounds like someone needs to adjust his medication. I have a manual and it does not show CR numbers. Sorry if I was not grashish enough for your reply. I was just trying to share a little info from my experience.

In the end, the seals on order is the seal number you posted. None of the part numbers I pulled out of my tractor are available and none of them cross over to the new part number. I hope your demeanor is not typical of Minneapolis Moline poeple or I might wish I had left this Jet Star Diesel in the scrap yard.

Sorry if I was unclear. Next time, I suggest you ask for a clarification before you start slamming people. I have found it works a lot better in the long run.

Thanks for your first reply.

Well no that is not the demeaneor of MM people. That is what I call another help question asked and the person waiting on an expected answer to tell me that is not correct and emailing me and telling me the same thing or from others who read it. Then I have to drag the books out scan them and prove them wrong to never ever hear from them again. At least you tell me thanks. Sometimes no reply at all on here or by email either.
NO I don' take any medication. Desides that I knew what you where looking for as far as oil seals are concerned because that is the only oil seal in that area that directly impacks getting the brake discs oily. Also F.Y.I. MM didn't always stick to one brand of seal either. When their bins got lower they did what any of us would do and shop around for the best price on two or three hundred of them. I just bought 4 new cr seals of this number off ebay for next to nothing as well.
