2 MM445 Questions

I have an old MM445 and I am curious as to where the thermostat is at on these things. I just replaced the water pump. In doing so, I cleaned out the water passages and got loads of gunk out of the block. Curious to check the T-stat and see what that looks like as well.

Second, can someone give me a FRAM part # for the oil filter? I tried to look one up the other day and I could not find the 445 model in the FRAM book.

Thanks!

The thermostat, if it has one, is located in the top hose. There usually is an extra hose clamp holding it in place. If you replace it, make sure there is at least a 3/16" bypass hole in it.

That's why I can't find the dang thing! They must of removed the thermostat from this tractor a long time ago! I was suspecting that it had to be someplace like that because there sure was no where else I could see a thermostat would fit.

Thanks for all the info everyone! I love this board! It has helped me with my SuperM and is now helping me with this 445. The information here is unbelievable! Thanks again!
