Oil pressure

I have a 1946 restored UTU. Oil pressure runs between 10 at idle to 25 at full throtle.How serious of a problem is this, tractor will not pull heavy work loads, maybe a hayride wagon.

I have a 47 utu and the oil pressure is always at 80 psi. Is that tooo much? Seems to run fine, no major leaks.

Too high oil pressure is not going to make for leaks. I would be concerned about excessive wear on the oil pump drive gear and the gear on the cam that drives it. I would also wonder if the regulator piston is stuck in place. Probably not a big deal but they were not intended to run that much pressure.

A rule of the thumb. 10 pounds of oil pressure, for every 1000 RPM.

25 is what they're supposed to have - you're OK. If you want more, a regulator adjustment screw is under the oil filter. You can change it, I wouldn't.
