Hi there, just wondering if LP heads would still be availiable for the 5 star...with the 283 engine? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Heads for the 5 Star with the 283 are generally available. A typical head would be the 10A4206, 10A4207 and 10A4213. Depending on the location (altitude) where the tractor was sold. There are earlier heads available from the U and UB series tractors but these heads have part numbers the start with GE30 followed by a letter. I do not have a chart available to pull off which letters are the LP heads.

There are a couple webpages that list the MM heads. Do a google search on Minneapolis Moline Head Specifications and the webpages should show up.

My Repair Manual shows GE30-P for sea level to 4000 ft and GE30-T for above 4000 ft. on the UB/UT propane heads If this helps.
