M-M diesels are significantly more difficult to modify than gas or propane up beyond a certain level of power. A 5-star used the larger 336 diesel and M670 parts could be used with headwork, etc to increase in the 80-90 h.p. range without a turbo. I have an M&W turbo kit I may install sometime, but it is not legal around here. My 5 Star diesel will eventually be gasoline powered if I ever modify it. What kind of classes do you intend on competing in? There are those who have installed a G gas crank in the 336 diesel engine. That would make a bit of difference.
