I was wondering how I could get more cubic inches from my m5 336 diesel...will a crank from a ub gas work in a 336D ? looking for more power for tractor pulling next year....I thought maybe a stroker..

The 403 crank is a direct bolt in a 336 block. The 336 crank is the same for both gas and diesel. The 403 was used in G series gas tractor and as a power unit. The 403 is a 6in stroke and the 336 is 5in. You will need pistons that are 1/2 in shorter.

Your best bet would be a crank from a 403, if you con find pistons.

Is a 403 a gas motor...what tractors had a 403..and will that crankshaft fit in a 336 block..I,m sure nothing is a direct fit.probably have to do some machining?
