I am have major difficulties in the simple job of bleeding my Gvi. It is the early type with the PSB American Bosch injector pump. If the line is undone from the pressure side of the primer pump, fuel is being pumped out as it should, but if the line from the final filter to the injector pump is undone, hardly anything is coming out, and therefore nothing is getting to the injectors. I thought at first maybe the plunger in the injector pump was stuck but if the fuel is not getting up to it then it cant pump! Any ideas would greatly be appreciated

In the filter base below the final filter there is a small relief valve. By taking the bigger plug out of base below final filter you will see what looks like a grease fitting with nipple gone. Take this out and see if something is holding it open or it is broken for some reason. Let me know and I will send you a new one.Ken Foland

Ken,
I finally got a chance to pull the relief valve out last week, and it appears to be leaking due to the valve seat being 'ovaled' out. I dare say that this would be enough to cause my problems? I have tried fining a replacement in Australia but as yet have not had much luck as most people have never seen this type of valve. I have a contact not far from me who has recently been to the U.S. and brought back some parts. If he doesnt have any of these parts my next question is could i purchase a couple of valves off you? please let let me know a price and payment details at this email address: [email protected]
Thankyou once again for your help and look forward to hearing from you, regards,
Brett Morrison
